About Ron

Ron and Barbara Crain began their cattle adventure in 1991 when they joined Ron's father on a dairy farm in western Oklahoma. By 1994, Ron began experimenting with intensive grazing methods. In 2006, the Crains eliminated grain feeding altogether and never looked back. They operated a direct marketing business with 100% grass fed dairy and beef products for 16 years. In 2019, Ron discovered the South Poll breed. Because they wanted to move away from dairy and focus on beef production, this was a great fit. They now have a nice supply of half blood South Poll cattle and look forward to the first group of 3/4 South Poll in the spring of 2023.
