About David

Hello all! My name is David Cox and my farm is located in Alpine, TN. Right in the middle of Tennessee between Nashville and Knoxville. Enjoying raising South Poll Cattle and improving the genetics of my herd. I enjoy learning everything that I can on soil health and grass development as well. I have a background in marketing with a bachelor degree in business administration with a major in marketing. I see my farm as a business and treat it like one. All of my cattle are my good group of outstanding workers and the grass in my field is the money in the back to invest in the growth of my herd. I enjoy working out marketing plans on marketing 100% grass fed beef and taking this breed to the next level. My goals are based around promotion of the south poll breed in my local area and building up my replacement heifer stock. Also working to develop a solid bull stock to lease or sell for breeding purposes. Making a profit is my main focus. I love working with cattle but I can't do this and be like everyone else in my area and stay broke and working a town job to support my cow addiction. I take that as fuel to my engine to keep working hard but working smart. If it works, keep it. If it isn't working, toss it out. Looking forward to the future in the cattle industry!
